Article: "¿La Octava Maravilla? ¡Sí, Pero También Falla!"
From: "Temas selectivos para el servicio a Computadoras"

This article was about how computers at home are very fragile in software and hardware, since a mis-connection between any part can be harmful to the computer, but besides that one important part it said was that the computers we have at home are, well, "secundary", they get errors often, and their price is low, while the big corporations have the best of the best, that are more reliable, can be fixed without stopping the activity, but are a lot more expensive.

Definitions

Six Sigma: it is a business management strategy originally developed by Motorola, USA in 1981. As of 2010, it enjoys widespread application in many sectors of industry, although its application is not without controversy. Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization ("Black Belts", "Green Belts", etc.) who are experts in these methods.

Just in time: it is an inventory strategy that strives to improve a business's return on investment by reducing in-process inventory and associated carrying costs. To meet JIT objectives, the process relies on signals or Kanban (看板, Kanban?) between different points in the process, which tell production when to make the next part.

Kaizen: it is a Japanese word adopted into English referring to a philosophy or practices focusing on continuous improvement in manufacturing activities, business activities in general, and even life in general, depending on interpretation and usage.

Poka-Yoke: it is a Japanese term that means "fail-safing" or "mistake-proofing". A poka-yoke is any mechanism in a Lean manufacturing process that helps an equipment operator avoid (yokeru) mistakes (poka). Its purpose is to eliminate product defects by preventing, correcting, or drawing attention to human errors as they occur.

5 Why's: is a question-asking method used to explore the cause/effect relationships underlying a particular problem. Ultimately, the goal of applying the 5 Whys method is to determine a root cause of a defect or problem.

Takt time: it is the maximum time per unit allowed to produce a product in order to meet demand. It is derived from the German word Taktzeit which translates to cycle time. Takt time sets the pace for industrial manufacturing lines.

My desk

Since I don't really use a desk (I rather lie on my bed, which also gets messy) I decided to explain the 3 s' using the bed as basis.

First, my bed, with a lot of things over, since today I had been doing all my homeworks, anyway, there are notebooks here and then, also some sweaters, my pijamas, etc.

So... let´s get this started!

1. Sort: Well, I'll put the notebooks, pens, and stuff at one side, and clothes at the other. Well, for the first step the difference is semi-clear, but still with a little mess, as they are just divided in sections right now.

2. Store: This definetly is the best step, with this I had put my pijamas at my... shelf? (sorry, I forgot the word even in spanish, anyway), and also my notebooks at my bookshelf, while the pens and stuffs are inside my bag.

3. Shine: ... Ok I am not sure this is the 3rd, but this is the order that was said on a presentation I found in the web, since in your blackboard division there isn't any presentation about this 5 s'. Well, what I did here was just shake my covers, I didn't notice anything special from this, but again this is a bed.

After all of this there is a clear difference of the appearence of my bed, definetly more clean, now I can use my laptop easier than before.

My career

I decided to go for the "ingeniero en tecnologías de negocios y comunicación" (I think) or INT. The reason I did this was because I wanted to go for ITIC, but they divided it into two branches, INT, and animation, and I feel that the INT is a little more complete than just animation, even though the business material would only work if I decide to make my own business (which is already on my mind).
I decided to go first on ITIC because I felt it was the closest to my dream work: working on a videogame company, either known or mine.

Robots

Well, I would make a cooking robot, which can put the ingredients in the right order at the right time by reading a colored card, which would insert a command to realize a dish.
The thing I applied about the videos was the color sensor, that could make the process more simple and faster
